Moon White
Moon White was one of the Song Dynasty's most elegant colors. Emperor Huizong reportedly dreamed of the sky after rain and ordered Ru kiln artisans to create this faintly blue-tinted white glaze, embodying the Song aesthetic of subtle beauty.

Moon White is not pure white but a white with a faint blue tint, like moonlight on the ground. Achieved by controlling kiln temperature for a moonlit glaze.

Historical Origin
Moon white glaze first appeared in Song Dynasty Ding and Jun kilns. Jun kiln moon white pieces are extremely rare, with fewer than 100 surviving worldwide.
